In the week ending Dec. 31, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 291,000, a decrease of 35,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 326,000. The 4-week moving average was 316,750, a decrease of 9,250 from the previous week's revised average of 326,000.

The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 2.1 percent for the week ending Dec. 24, unchanged from the prior week's unrevised rate of 2.1 percent.

The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending Dec. 24 was 2,718,000, an increase of 13,000 from the preceding week's revised level of 2,705,000. The 4-week moving average was 2,661,750, an increase of 33,250 from the preceding week's revised average of 2,628,500.


In the week ending Dec. 24, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 322,000, an increase of 3,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 319,000. The 4-week moving average was 325,000, an increase of 250 from the previous week's revised average of 324,750.

The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 2.1 percent for the week ending Dec. 17, unchanged from the prior week's unrevised rate of 2.1 percent.

The 4-week moving average was 2,651,750, a decrease of 2,000 from the preceding week's revised average of 2,653,750.

 


 

In the week ending March 26, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 350,000, an increase of 20,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 330,000. The 4-week moving average was 336,000, an increase of 8,500 from the previous week's revised average of 327,500.


The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 2.1 percent for the week ending March 19, unchanged from the prior week's unrevised rate of 2.1 percent.


The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending March 19 was 2,608,000, a decrease of 66,000 from the preceding week's revised level of 2,674,000. The 4-week moving average was 2,656,250, a decrease of 14,750 from the preceding week's revised average of 2,671,000.
